The purpose:
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Nidek EC-5000 excimer laser system for the treatment of hyperopia (farsightedness) with or without astigmatism.

Sound Eye and Laser is one of six sites in the United States to be selected to conduct the study. It is expected that the length of the study will be 24 months.
